Job summary

Verve Recruitment is assisting a Blacktown-based stainless steel fabrication business in their search for an experienced Sheet Metal Draftsperson. The role focuses on CAD drafting for commercial kitchens and other sheet metal items, with responsibilities including lay-out drawings and laser-cut nesting.

The ideal candidate has proven sheet metal CAD experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with training provided for admin/estimation tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the Sheet Metal industry is ESSENTIAL.
• Experience with CAD drawing for sheet metal fabrication.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• CAD drawing of commercial kitchen benches, range hoods, and other custom sheet metal items.
• Creating flat layout drawings and nesting for laser cutting machines.
• Undertaking minor administrative and estimating tasks (training provided).
• Working efficiently and unsupervised once fully trained.

Position Overview:

Our client is a dedicated stainless steel fabrication business specializing in commercial kitchen fit-outs and custom sheet metal products. They are looking for a self-motivated individual with specific industry experience to join their team.

Your main responsibilities and duties will include:

• CAD drawing of commercial kitchen benches, range hoods, and other custom sheet metal items
• Creating flat layout drawings and nesting for laser cutting machines
• Undertaking minor administrative and estimating tasks (training provided for this aspect)
• Working efficiently and unsupervised once fully trained

Your experience, skill set and qualifications will include:
