Job summary

Verve Recruitment is partnering with a Blacktown-based stainless steel fabrication business to hire a Junior Sheet Metal Apprentice. This role offers hands-on training with stainless steel fabrication and full TAFE apprenticeship support.

You will learn fabrication techniques, how to read drawings, operate workshop machinery, measure, fold, weld and laser cut stainless steel, and follow safety guidelines while contributing to a tidy, efficient workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Year 10 certificate with above-average achievement of Mathematics.
• Willingness to learn and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Must have learner's permit and proof of currently learning to drive.

Responsibilities

• Learn fabrication techniques for stainless steel products such as kitchen benches, range hoods, and custom items.
• Read and interpret drawings and plans.

Sheet Metal Worker - Apprentice - Blacktown

A small stainless steel fabrication business in Blacktown iscurrently seeking a Junior Sheet Metal Apprentice to join theirfacility.

Position Overview:-

This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in sheet metal fabrication.

As an Apprentice, you will receive full comprehensive, hands-on training in all aspects of stainless steel fabrication while working alongside experienced tradespeople. This apprenticeship includes fully supported TAFE training to achieve your trade qualification.

You will learn the following :-

• The fabrication techniques for stainless steel products such as kitchen benches, range hoods, and custom items
• How to read and interpret drawings and plans
• How to operate and maintain workshop machinery
• Measuring, folding , welding and laser cutting stainless steel
• Learning workplace health and safety guidelines
• General workshop duties, including how to keep the work area clean and organised

Your experience, skill set and qualifications will include:-

• Minimum Year 10 school certificate with above average achievement of Mathematics
• Must have a willingness to learn, take direction , be reliability with a strong work ethic
• Must have a minimum of a driver's learner'spermit and proof of currently learning to drive.
