Job summary

Talenza has been engaged by a global healthcare provider to recruit a SharePoint Engineer for a greenfield migration from on-premises to a cloud-hosted solution. The successful candidate will bring proven SharePoint engineering experience in an enterprise setting and a track record on cloud migrations.

The role requires a presence in the Brisbane office three days per week, with Sydney and Melbourne offices available. Candidates must have full working rights to be considered.

Qualifications

• Enterprise migration from on-premises to SharePoint Online.
• Admin and implement SharePoint Online & Microsoft 365 stack.
• Lead technical delivery of greenfield migration end-to-end.
• Experience with SPMT, Migration Manager or ShareGate.
• Knowledge of Entra ID, access controls and security.
• Viva Engage/Connections integration experience is a plus.
• Broad 365 tech, APIs, workflows and legacy customisations.
• Proven issue resolution and platform stability.
• Documentation, migration/testing procedures.
• Stakeholder engagement with PMs, architects.

Job description

Talenza have been engaged by an global healthcare provider listed company to find a Sharepoint Engineer to work on a greenfield sharepoint migration of their on premise environment to a cloud hosted solution. The successful candidate will have sharepoint engineering experience, ideally in an enterprise environment and will have worked on a cloud migration project previously.

This role requires 3 days per week in the Brisbane office, but my client has offices in Sydney and Melbourne. There's a strong preference to find someone in Brisbane as the rest of the Sharepoint team is based here, but is open to candidates in Melbourne and Sydney. You must have full working rights to be considered for the role.

Key Requirements

• Proven enterprise experience delivering SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online migrations, including discovery, assessment, migration planning, remediation, execution, validation and post-migration support.

• Strong hands-on experience administering and implementing SharePoint Online and the wider Microsoft 365 stack, including modern sites, hub sites, information architecture, permissions, metadata, content types, document libraries, search and governance.

• Demonstrated ability to independently lead the technical delivery of a greenfield migration, working as the sole engineering resource, with the technical depth and self-sufficiency to manage the migration end to end.

• Experience using SharePoint migration tools such as SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT), Migration Manager or ShareGate, including source assessment, compatibility analysis, migration reporting, troubleshooting and content validation.

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, identity integration, access controls and security, including permissions management and secure configuration across the Microsoft 365 environment.

• Experience with Viva Engage and Viva Connections, ideally involving implementation, configuration or integration within an enterprise digital workplace.

• Broad Microsoft 365 technical capability, including troubleshooting integrations, APIs, workflows, application dependencies and legacy SharePoint customisations.

• Proven experience supporting complex enterprise environments, performing root cause analysis, resolving technical issues and ensuring platform stability, with strong attention to detail and data integrity.

• Ability to establish and maintain technical documentation, migration plans, testing and validation processes, operational procedures and knowledge-transfer materials.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to work with project managers, architects, cybersecurity, information governance, Microsoft 365 platform teams and business stakeholders to manage dependencies and resolve issues.

• Experience delivering technology projects in large, multi-site or regulated enterprise environments; healthcare experience is advantageous.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent practical experience, with Microsoft 365, SharePoint or cloud certifications desirable.
