Sharp & Carter is engaged to find a senior finance leader in Melbourne to own Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, driving governance, process improvements and transformation initiatives within a larger finance operation. The role focuses on ownership, collaboration with senior finance, and hands-on leadership to deliver efficient shared services.

You will shape KPIs, dashboards and performance metrics, while partnering with stakeholders to optimise service delivery and ensure strong

Qualifications

  • Must have leadership experience in shared services or transactional finance environments.
  • Strong understanding of AP, AR and financial controls.
  • Proven track record delivering process improvement or transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
  • Driving process improvement, standardisation and operational efficiencies across shared services
  • Supporting finance transformation projects, systems improvements and workflow enhancements
  • Developing KPIs, reporting dashboards and performance metrics
  • Managing audit requirements, controls, compliance activities and reconciliations
  • Partnering with key stakeholders across finance and the broader business to resolve issues and improve service delivery
  • Supporting month-end processes and broader finance projects
  • Building capability within the team through coaching, mentoring and leadership

The Company

The Opportunity Reporting to a senior finance leader, this newly available opportunity will see you take ownership of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while driving process improvement, financial governance and transformation initiatives across the broader finance operation. The role offers a balanced mix of strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement and hands-on operational management.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
  • Driving process improvement, standardisation and operational efficiencies across shared services
  • Supporting finance transformation projects, systems improvements and workflow enhancements
  • Developing KPIs, reporting dashboards and performance metrics

Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within shared services, finance operations or transactional finance environments
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and financial controls
  • Proven track record delivering process improvement, change management or transformation initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Hands-on leadership style with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience operating within a complex, fast-paced environment
