Job summary

Redpath Group is seeking experienced Shaft Electricians for the Appin Project in NSW. You will maintain and optimize shaft sinking infrastructure, ensuring safe operation of electrical, control, and automation systems on site.

This is a 14 days on/off roster with long-term opportunities in a global mining contractor environment. Candidates should have Electrical Trade Qualification, HV experience preferred, a current NSW manual license, and pass medical and police clearances.

Qualifications

• Teamwork and clear communication within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and compliance in confined/vertical shaft environments.
• Interpret electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings for installations and maintenance.
• Install, maintain and repair winders and related systems per Australian standards.
• Conduct statutory testing and inspections per AS3000 and regulations.
• Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on shaft electrical/control/automation systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform root-cause analysis on control circuits and networks (EtherNet/IP/DeviceNet).
• Program/configure/troubleshoot Rockwell Automation systems (AB ControlLogix/CompactLogix, PanelView, FactoryTalk).
• Monitor equipment performance via SCADA and control diagnostics.
• Mentor team members through training and development.
• Ensure compliance with Redpath and client SHEQ/WHS policies.
