Job summary

REDPATH MINING seeks an Electrical Superintendent for the Appin Project in NSW to lead electrical teams and ensure safe, efficient shaft infrastructure delivery. You will manage powered winding systems and associated equipment, upholding high safety and performance standards on a major underground site.

The role reports to the Project Manager and requires strong leadership, planning, and a proactive approach to maintenance, reliability, and compliance in a Tier-one mining environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or relevant tertiary qualification (Electrical preferred).
• Proven experience with powered winding systems and coal mining equipment (highly desirable).
• Leadership experience managing crews in high risk environments.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute long term plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and reliability of powered winding systems and shaft electrical infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address electrical and control system issues, implementing effective solutions to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure coordination of electrical works between engineering and operational departments.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the electrical team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Monitor and analyse powered winding system performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
