Job summary

WesTrac is seeking a Service Technician - Lube Truck to join the Casula Field Service team in Sydney. This role focuses on delivering preventative maintenance, inspecting machinery, and performing fluid services across Caterpillar equipment, while building strong customer relationships.

The ideal candidate is mechanically minded, trade-qualified, and capable of working autonomously in the field, with a focus on safety and quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle, Fitter & Machinist or similar mechanical discipline.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a field-based environment.
• Basic diagnostic and machine inspection experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• MR Licence is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Complete onsite preventative maintenance services.
• Conduct machine inspections and identify repair requirements.
• Diagnose basic mechanical faults, oil leaks and equipment issues.
• Provide fluid and lubrication services across customer fleets.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while working safely in the field.

We are currently seeking a Service Technician - Lube Truck to join our Casula Field Service team.

This role is ideal for a mechanically minded trade-qualified technician who enjoys working independently, delivering preventative maintenance services and building strong customer relationships. You will be responsible for machine inspections, fluid servicing, identifying faults and defects, and supporting customers with planned maintenance activities across a range of Caterpillar equipment.

What You'll Do
