Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in Social Work, Human Services or Behavioural Sciences.
• Diploma or higher qualification in the community sector with at least two years' experience working within a case management framework, including culturally appropriate community work, assessment and referral.
• Class C Driver's Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring WHS policies are applied.

• Deliver best practice casework services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers using sound assessment and intervention skills to deliver integrated and culturally appropriate services.
• Engage with and establishing partnerships with a broad range of internal/external stakeholders and service providers to achieve quality outcomes.
• Undertake a range of record and information management tasks including maintenance of case records, preparation or reports, performance reporting and data entry to ensure accountability.
• Actively participate in training and professional development activities to develop, maintain and enhance knowledge and competencies to ensure that service delivery is based on contemporary, evidence based best practice principles and is consistent with current practice trends and departmental objectives.
• Actively participate in and contributing to the good governance and objectives of Frontline Services and the department.
• Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.

Mandatory Requirement

• Class C Driver's Licence
• Degree level qualification in Social Work, Human Services or Behavioural Sciences OR Diploma or higher qualification in the community sector with at least two years' experience working within a case management framework in a relevant field, including experience in culturally appropriate community work, assessment and referral.
