Job summary

MacKellar Group is seeking a Service Person to support heavy mining equipment across a modern fleet on a long-term project near Nyngan, NSW. You’ll perform servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance, helping to keep equipment operating safely and reliably.

You’ll join a maintenance team with strong safety focus, working a 7/7 day and night roster. Camp accommodation and meals are provided, with opportunities for career growth in a growing operation.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing heavy mobile equipment in mining or earthmoving environments.
• Ability to work a 7/7 rotating day and night roster.
• Strong safety focus and WHS compliance.
• Team oriented with ability to support maintenance crew.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, greasing and refuelling heavy mining equipment.
• Carrying out planned inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Maintaining accurate service records and logs.
• Supporting trades and maintenance teams during breakdowns and scheduled maintenance.
• Keeping work areas clean, safe and organized.

MacKellar is growing its partnership with Aeris Resources on a developing mining project near Nyngan, NSW, and we’re looking for experienced Service Persons to join our maintenance team.

About the Role

As a Service Person, you’ll provide essential servicing and maintenance support across the site’s heavy mobile equipment fleet.

Working as part of the maintenance team, you’ll help keep equipment operating safely and reliably by completing scheduled servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance activities.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, greasing and refuelling heavy mobile mining equipment
• Completing daily pre-starts, inspections and equipment checks
• Carrying out preventative maintenance activities
• Identifying and reporting defects or equipment issues
• Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
• Supporting trades and maintenance teams with breakdown and scheduled maintenance
• Maintaining clean, safe and organised work areas
• Following site safety procedures and maintenance standards

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working around heavy mining equipment.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Service Person, Field Service Person or similar
• Experience servicing heavy mobile equipment in a mining or earthmoving environment
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Ability to work a 7/7 rotating day and night roster
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• HR Licence highly regarded
• RII Service Mine Plant & Equipment or equivalent qualification highly regarded
• A strong team focus and willingness to support the wider maintenance team
