Job summary

MacKellar Group is seeking an experienced HME Boilermaker for a long-term mining project near Nyngan, NSW. You will perform structural repairs, fabrication, and maintenance on heavy mining equipment such as excavators and haul trucks, on a DIDO roster with camp accommodation and meals provided.

You will work as part of an experienced maintenance team, with opportunities to handle modern heavy mobile equipment, respect safety standards, and contribute to ongoing shutdowns and rebuilds.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker.
• Experience working on heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Experience with bucket, tray and structural repairs.
• Experience with welding, gouging and fabrication.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Current Australian driver's licence.
• Mining or heavy earthmoving experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Structural repairs and fabrication on heavy mining equipment.
• Bucket, tray and wear package repairs.
• Welding, air arc gouging and other hot work.
• Crack repairs and structural repairs to HME components.
• Working at heights and in confined spaces where required.
• Inspecting damage, identifying repair requirements and completing quality repairs.
• Supporting planned maintenance, shutdowns and component rebuilds.
• Working safely and efficiently in line with site and manufacturer standards.

We’re seeking experienced HME Boilermakers to join our maintenance team on a major mining project near Nyngan, NSW.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for structural repairs, fabrication and maintenance across heavy mining equipment, including excavators and haul trucks.

Your day‑to‑day work will include:

• Structural repairs and fabrication on heavy mining equipment

About you

We’re looking for a trade-qualified Boilermaker with strong HME or heavy mining experience.
