Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Service Owner for Data Integration Platforms in Sydney, responsible for the operational support, reliability and performance of our data integration portfolio including Informatica IICS and IBM Sterling MFT. This senior role coordinates L2 and external partners to restore service and deliver sustainable resolutions, while driving automation, observability and SRE-aligned practices.

• Experience applying SRE practices to production support.
• ITIL, Informatica, Sterling, cloud, SRE or cybersecurity qualifications.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments, preferably financial services.

• Owns operational support, reliability and performance of the Data Integration Platforms portfolio.
• Acts as senior escalation point for complex issues and coordinates L2 teams, vendors and stakeholders.

What’s the role?

The Service Owner is accountable for the operational support, reliability, service performance and continuous improvement of the Data Integration Platforms portfolio, including Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), Sterling Managed File Transfer (MFT), shared data integration services and associated platform components.

The role is the senior Level 3 support authority for the portfolio and ensures platform services remain available, secure, resilient and supportable. It acts as the primary technical and operational escalation point for complex issues and coordinates L2 support teams, engineering teams, suppliers, vendors and business stakeholders to restore service and deliver sustainable resolution.

The Service Owner also provides clear governance over incidents, problems, changes, vulnerabilities, risks, audit actions, operational readiness and supplier performance, while advancing automation, observability, AIOps, DataOps and SRE-aligned practices.

What do I need?

Essential:

• Significant experience supporting enterprise Data integration, managed file transfer or data integration platforms.
• Strong practical experience across Incident, Major Incident, Problem, Change and Service Level Management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical investigations and coordinate service restoration.
• Experience managing suppliers, managed service providers and software vendors against service commitments.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, vulnerability management, controls, audit and compliance obligations.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, operational automation, DevOPs and service improvement.
• Strong stakeholder communication with the ability to explain technical issues, business impact and recommended action.
• Proven ability to lead across multidisciplinary teams without relying solely on direct reporting lines.
• Hands-on operational knowledge of Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services and/or IBM Sterling Managed File Transfer.
• Experience with Secure Agents, integration workflows, file gateways, certificates, partner connectivity and service recovery.
• Experience applying SRE practices to production support.
• ITIL, Informatica, Sterling, cloud, SRE or cyber security qualifications.
• Experience working in a highly regulated environment, preferably financial services.
