Job summary

Velocity Truck Centres Australia is seeking an experienced Service Operations Manager to lead national service performance across our Daimler Truck dealership network. Reporting to the Vice President Aftersales, you will drive consistency, implement practical operating standards and partner with regional and branch leaders to lift outcomes.

This role requires senior leadership, hands-on collaboration and a proven ability to deliver measurable efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in service operations or aftersales in automotive or heavy vehicles.
• Experience leading multi-site operations across a dispersed network.
• Strong understanding of workshop operations, productivity and WIP management.
• Proven ability to lead change and deliver measurable improvements.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to interpret data for decision-making.
• Hands-on collaborative leadership developing capable teams.

What we're looking for

• Senior leadership experience in service operations, aftersales, automotive, transport, heavy vehicle, industrial or equipment-related environments.
• Experience leading multi-site operations or supporting a geographically dispersed network.
• Strong understanding of workshop operations, productivity, WIP management and service profitability.
• Proven ability to lead change and deliver measurable operational improvements.
• Strong commercial acumen and confidence interpreting operational and financial data.
• A hands-on collaborative style, and a track record of developing capable, accountable teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A current driver licence and willingness to travel nationally.
