Job summary

Grosvenor Engineering Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead a service team and ensure the reliable maintenance of premium commercial highrise properties.

You will build lasting client relationships, optimise operations and resource planning, provide strategic input on maintenance budgets and tender opportunities, and coach staff to improve technical and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• HVAC trade qualification required.
• Current Drivers Licence and WH&S Induction Card.
• Minimum 5 years in a service management role.
• Strong client relationship management experience.
• Proven team leadership experience.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Advanced communication skills in client contexts.

Job Description

About the Role:

• As a Service Manager the primary responsibilities lies in overseeing a HVAC service team to ensure the operational requirements of the business are being achieved.
• Effectively manage the HVAC operations and resourcing.
• Provide strategic operational advice including asset capital expenditure, pricing/estimating HVAC maintenance opportunities, develop tailored customer budgets and identify new business opportunities and/or provide support to BDMs regarding tender evaluations.
• Liaise with customers to ensure service levels are meeting/exceeding expectations.
• Act as point of escalation and resolve customer complaints/issues – evaluate and investigate scenarios to develop optimised solutions.
• Provide applied thinking, listening to client requirements ensuring deliverable and tangible outcomes.
• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring that empowers employees to improve their ability to make commercial decisions.
• As a technical expert, provide thought leadership to the immediate team and broader business.
• Develop effective KPI’s (Team & individual) aligned to business outcomes.
• Consistent review and delivery of the service teams hazard reports, site surveys, LTIs and MTIs.
• Meeting Client Requirements: Comply with customer/client requirements imposed on Grosvenor which may apply to performing your work at their site.

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills & Experience:

• Hold recognised HVAC trade qualification.
• Hold a current Drivers Licence and WH&S General Induction Card
• Tertiary qualification in management – desirable
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a service management role
• Highly developed business/commercial acumen
• Proven ability in account management.
• Strong client relationship management experience, with proven ability to exceed customer expectations.
• Team leadership experience, including the ability to develop, coach and mentor employees.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, including confidence with software, computers, Apps etc.
• Advanced communication skills with proven experience in resolving client conflict, client relationship building and presenting formally to clients.
