Job summary

Grosvenor Engineering Group is seeking an HVAC Mechanical Services - Rigging Technician to support the Greater Sydney area, performing mechanical repairs and rigging across commercial sites, offices, retail, and construction environments.

You will identify faults, overhaul pumps, perform laser alignments, and work with a skilled team to deliver reliable services. A trade qualification and current licenses are required, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in HVAC or related field.
• White card and current driver’s licence.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC repairs in commercial settings.
• Ability to work in a team or autonomously.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify defective mechanical components across HVAC systems.
• Overhaul and rebuild pumps and other mechanical components.
• Service major mechanical assets.
• Laser alignment of pumps and motors.
• Repairs in commercial buildings including high rise towers, shopping centres and data centres.
• Collaborate with technicians in a motivated team environment.
• Identify hazards and safety issues.
• Liaise with work coordinators and management.
• Provide high level customer service to clients.
• Identify opportunities for repairs, upgrades, refurbishments, and new business.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for HVAC Mechanical Services - RiggingTechnician working across the Greater Sydney area who are passionate about contributing to the success of our business. You’ll be working across a variety of sites including Commercial sites, Offices, Retail, Construction etc, providing mechanical repairs and rigging of plant equipment.

Job Description

• Identify defective mechanical components across a range of HVAC systems.
• Major asset overhaul and rebuild activities on pumps and other mechanical components.
• Servicing on major mechanical assets.
• Laser Alignment of pumps and motors
• Various repairs in commercial buildings including high rise office towers, shopping centres and Data Centres.
• Work with some of the best technicians Australia has to offer in a motivated team environment.
• Identify hazards and safety issues.
• Liaise with work coordinators and management.
• Provide high level customer service to clients.
• Identify opportunities for potential repairs, upgrade works, refurbishments, and new business.

Desired Skills and Experience

What will you need to join the team?

• Trade Qualification – Cert III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration, Plumbing Licence or Rigging Ticket
• White card and Current Driver’s Licence
• Hands on experience with repairs, emergency breakdowns and maintenance on a variety of HVAC assets in commercial backgrounds
• Ability to work within a team or autonomously
• Highly Motivated
• Team Player
