Job summary

Grosvenor Engineering Group in Darwin is seeking a Service Manager - HVAC to lead the HVAC service team and drive service excellence for a diverse client base. You will own budgeting, resource planning and strategic advice, while ensuring high client satisfaction and compliant service delivery.

You will mentor team members, develop KPIs, and act as the technical expert to optimise outcomes. This role requires a proactive leader with strong commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Service Management role with financial responsibility.
• Strong budgeting and financial skills.
• Proven client relationship management and leadership experience.

Job Description

About the Role:

• As a Service Manager the primary responsibilities lies in overseeing the HVAC service teams in your Business Unit to ensure the operational requirements of the business are being achieved.
• Effectively manage the HVAC operations and resourcing.
• Provide strategic operational advice including asset capital expenditure, pricing/estimating HVAC maintenance opportunities, develop tailored customer budgets and identify new business opportunities and/or provide support to BDMs regarding tender evaluations.
• Liaise with customers to ensure service levels are meeting/exceeding expectations
• Act as point of escalation and resolve customer complaints/issues – evaluate and investigate scenarios to develop optimised solutions
• Provide applied thinking, listening to client requirements ensuring deliverable and tangible outcomes
• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring that empowers employees to improve their ability to make commercial decisions
• As a technical expert, provide thought leadership to the immediate team and broader business
• Develop effective KPI’s (Team & individual) aligned to business outcomes
• Consistent review and delivery of the service teams hazard reports, site surveys, LTIs and MTIs.
• Meeting Client Requirements: Comply with customer/client requirements imposed on Grosvenor which may apply to performing your work at their site.

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills & Experience:

• Hold recognised trade qualifications in relevant field
• Hold a current Drivers Licence and WH&S General Induction Card
• Tertiary qualification in management – desirable
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Service Management role where you had financial responsibility for a service department
• Highly developed business/commercial acumen
• Proven ability to develop and manage budgets – strong financial skills
• Strong client relationship management experience, with proven ability to exceed customer expectations
• Team leadership experience, including the ability to develop, coach and mentor employees
• Strong planning and organisational skills, including confidence with software, computers, Apps etc
• Advanced communication skills with proven experience in resolving client conflict, client relationship building and presenting formally to clients
