Job summary

Schindler Lifts Australia is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead a busy inner-west Sydney portfolio, with approximately 10 direct reports and P&L responsibilities. The role is office-based with field time, reporting to the Service Operations Manager, and includes monthly toolbox meetings and driving financial performance.

You will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering high-quality services and solutions, and providing coaching and leadership to a team of service

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance/repairs/service management in lift industry or similar industries such as fire, HVAC, security.
• Proven experience in managing field technicians.
• Knowledge of budgeting and cost control in service operations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Awareness of safety standards and qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Improve operational budgets, including portfolio growth, material and labour cost control.
• Constantly analyse results and take effective remedial action quickly.
• Visit the site and record contact and other site details.
• Determine manpower capacity needed to service the contracted portfolio.
• Reconcile fulfilment of maintenance visits and act as required.
• Make regular audits to ensure the quality of maintenance.
• Allocate resources to attend to shutdowns.
• Monitor callback history and allocate resources to attend to sick lifts.
• Set and attend team meetings.
• Identify and plan for service training needs.
• Document and solve customer complaints.
