Job summary

Mind Australia Limited is seeking a passionate Service Manager to lead the Adult Step-Up Step-Down (ASUSD) service in Gladstone. Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health or related field.
• Leadership experience in mental health or community services with coaching ability.
• Expertise in trauma-informed, recovery-oriented practice.
• Experience with budgets, reporting and stakeholder partnerships.
• Vaccination proof or willingness to obtain per Queensland Health requirements.

Responsibilities

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Service Manager to lead the Adult Step-Up Step-Down (ASUSD) service in Gladstone.

In this leadership role, you will lead the team and oversee all aspects of service delivery, ensuring high-quality, recovery-oriented services are provided to people, families and carers in line with Mind's Model of Recovery Oriented Practice and organisational values.

You will be accountable for service performance, budget targets and operational requirements, while building strong relationships with clinical partners, community organisations, government agencies and other key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage high-quality, recovery-oriented services for people, families and carers in line with Mind's Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice.
• Provide leadership, coaching and supervision to Team Leaders and multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality service and performance outcomes.
• Oversee day-to-day service operations, including intake, assessment, recovery planning, care reviews, staffing, rostering and service requirements.
• Manage service performance, budgets, reporting, contractual obligations and compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with clinical services, community organisations, government agencies and other key stakeholders.
• Foster a positive, high-performing culture that values lived experience, continuous improvement, cultural safety and workforce development.

What you'll bring

• Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related field.
• Leadership experience in mental health, community services, disability, health or a related sector, with ability to lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team.
• Expertise in trauma-informed, recovery-oriented practice and evidence-based interventions.
• Experience in managing service performance, budgets, reporting requirements and stakeholder partnerships.
• Ability to provide proof of vaccination against vaccine preventable diseases, or willingness to obtain required vaccinations per Queensland Health partnership.
