Brandt Tractor in Mount Gambier is seeking an experienced Service Manager or Service Foreman to lead the day-to-day operations of the Service Department. You will drive exceptional customer service, efficiency and team performance across agricultural, construction and heavy equipment sectors.

The role requires a trade qualification with at least 3 years of service experience, strong communication, leadership skills and the ability to mentor others in a dynamic, global company environment.

Formación

• Trade qualification and at least 3 years' experience as a Service Technician.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Leadership and people development experience would be beneficial.
• Experience with agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Service Department, ensuring customer service and operational efficiency.
• Develop and monitor Service Department processes and annual goals/budget.
• Submit warranty and Product Improvement Program claims within required timeframes.
• Schedule jobs and allocate work areas according to staff skills and knowledge.
• Review work orders for accuracy prior to customer billing.
• Ensure all tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order.
• Manage recruiting, staffing and development activities for the team.

About the role:

As Service Manager or Service Foreman, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Service Department, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and team performance.

• Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Creates annual Service Department goals and budget in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
• Submits all service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims within the required timeframe to receive maximum credit.
• Schedules and assigns jobs and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledge.
• Review work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing
• Ensures all departmental tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order.
• Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position.

About you:

To be successful you will be an individual with strong communication skills, excellent time management and an appreciation and understanding of customer’s needs.

• Sound mechanical knowledge.
• Operations and management experience would be beneficial.
• People leadership experience would be beneficial.
• Highly motivated to provide a clean, safe and efficient service department.

• Trade qualification and at least 3 years' experience as a Service Technician
• Strong technical and diagnostic abilities
• Leadership skills and a desire to mentor and develop others
• Experience working with agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and lead by example
• Experience with John Deere products is advantageous
