Job summary

RDO Equipment Co is seeking a passionate Service Manager to oversee the Rutherford workshop, leading a team, ensuring premier service delivery and driving continuous improvement in maintenance and repair operations.

You will manage safety, productivity, and efficiency while building strong relationships with customers and internal teams, ensuring financial performance aligns with company goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a management position within a workshop environment with heavy machinery.
• Strong leadership, communication and motivational skills.
• Financial management including budgeting and cost control.
• Safety-conscious, proactive and able to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Direct all workshop operations to run efficiently.
• Ensure top-tier service for the customer base.
• Meet KPI targets for productivity, efficiency, WIP and billing.
• Lead, coach and develop the workshop team.
• Provide leadership and training to service staff.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve maintenance and service levels.
• Deliver expert service and support to customers and partners.
• Foster a culture of safety, innovation and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Efficiently manage & direct all aspects of the workshopoperations.
• Ensure the highest level of service is provided to our customerbase.
• Ensure delivery of key performance indicators includingproductivity, efficiency, rework, WIP and Billing Cycle
• Lead, coach and develop a team of workshop employees.
• Provide leadership, guidance & training to the service team.
• Continuously develop & implement strategies to improvemaintenance & service effectiveness.
• Deliver expert service and support to our customers and partners
• Contribute to a culture of safety, innovation, and continuousimprovement

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive experience in a management position within a workshopenvironment with heavy machinery is a must.
• Proven ability to build relationships with customers, fellow workcolleagues and management.
• Strong leadership skills including outstanding communication(verbal and written) and motivational skills.
• Financial management including managing budgets.
• Ability to evaluate and assess operations and respond to changingneeds.
• Is safety conscious, solutions focused, and ready to grow
• A proactive team player who takes ownership and drives results
