Job summary

Core Talent Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced HVAC-R Technician for a Brisbane-based role with a national building services business.

You will perform preventative maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and planned works across HVAC and refrigeration systems on commercial sites. The role includes after-hours/on-call duties and opportunities to work on larger chillers and AHUs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / HVAC Technician.
• 3–5+ years' commercial HVAC & refrigeration experience.
• Strong experience across commercial or retail facilities.
• Comfortable with preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
• Experience with chillers and larger HVAC systems highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Chillers, AHUs, CRAC units and FCUs on commercial sites.
• Refrigeration and chilled water systems maintenance and fault finding.
• Maintenance of heating, cooling and ventilation equipment.
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding during service calls.
• Preventative and reactive maintenance across assets.
• Site inspections and equipment checks.
• Installation, testing and commissioning where required.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently.
• Complete service reports and work orders.

Job description

Core Talent are currently working with a national building services business that is looking to add an experienced HVAC-R Technician to their Brisbane team.

The role will suit a qualified technician who enjoys working across commercial sites, carrying out a mix of preventative maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and planned works across a range of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

The Role

• Chillers, AHUs, CRAC units and FCUs
• Refrigeration and chilled water systems
• Heating, cooling and ventilation equipment
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Preventative and reactive maintenance
• Site inspections and equipment checks
• Installation, testing and commissioning works where required
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently
• Completing service reports, work orders and relevant documentation
• Liaising with coordinators, clients and subcontractors on site
• Participating in an after-hours/on-call roster

There will also be an element of assessing works, materials and labour requirements, with technicians expected to identify opportunities to complete jobs in a more efficient and cost-effective way.

About You

• Qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / HVAC Technician
• 3-5+ years' commercial HVAC & refrigeration experience
• Strong experience across commercial or retail facilities
• Comfortable with preventative and reactive maintenance
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability
• Experience with chillers and larger HVAC systems highly regarded
• Able to work independently and manage a scheduled workload
• Current driver's licence
• White Card
• EWP under 11m
• First Aid
• Able to obtain/hold a Police Check
