Job summary

Heat and Control Pty Ltd, a global leader in food processing systems, is seeking a Service Engineer to install, commission, service and repair cutting-edge equipment from our Scoresby base, covering greater Melbourne and regional projects. You’ll work with electrical and mechanical systems, uphold safety standards, and support customers with training and documentation.

Applicants must hold a Victorian Unrestricted Electrical Work Licence and have field service experience.

Qualifications

• A Victorian Unrestricted Electrical Work Licence is required
• Previous electrical & mechanical troubleshooting experience is required
• Field service experience preferred
• Experience on packaging and inspection equipment preferred but not essential
• Hold a valid Australian driver’s licence
• A high standard of performance for self & others with excellent attention to detail
• Willingness to take action beyond specific explicit job responsibilities
• Ability to fit into a team and keen to ensure excellent working relationships
• Ability to generate basic Word and Excel documents for reporting to customers as well as Heat and Control internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer callouts to diagnose and resolve a variety of electrical and mechanical issues
• Install machines, attachments, parts and equipment and ensure operation in accordance with OEM instructions and customer expectations
• Conduct customer training after installation / commissioning including proper setup, operating, cleaning, and maintenance
• Conduct preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of machinery, including generating comprehensive machine condition reports based upon your findings
• Validate machinery performance and provide certificates to customer

About the Rol

eAs a key member of our close-knit team, you’ll take charge of installing, commissioning, servicing, and repairing a diverse array of cutting-edge food processing, packaging, and inspection equipment. You'll work with industry leaders in X-ray units, check weighers, multi-head weighers, VFFS machines, and much more, making a real impact in the food industry
