Job summary

Hutcheon & Pearce, Australia’s largest family-owned John Deere dealership, seeks a proactive Service Advisor for our Gunnedah team. You’ll be the link between customers, Service Technicians and the Service Manager, keeping the workshop running smoothly and delivering outstanding service.

You’ll book repairs, prepare quotes, manage work orders, and keep customers informed of progress while assisting with invoices and warranty claims. Prior dealership or admin experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic data entry.
• Experience in administration or dealership environment preferred.
• Trade qualifications welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and coordinate service enquiries.
• Book customer machines in for repair and maintenance work.
• Prepare service quotations and repair estimates.
• Open, manage and close work orders accurately and efficiently.

In this role, you'll be the key link between our customers, Service Technicians, and Service Manager, helping keep the workshop running smoothly while delivering exceptional service every step of the way. What You'll Be Doing

• Providing exceptional customer service and coordinating service enquiries
• Booking customer machines in for repair and maintenance work
• Preparing service quotations and repair estimates
• Opening, managing and closing work orders accurately and efficiently
• Keeping customers informed on the progress of their jobs
• Assisting with warranty and product improvement claims
• Supporting invoicing and ensuring repair order documentation is complete
• Maintaining service records, customer information and departmental reporting
• Tracking service department performance, productivity and key KPIs
• Supporting the Service Manager with the day-to-day administration of the workshop

No two days are the same, and you'll play an important part in keeping our customers and service team moving.

Who Are We Looking For?

• A strong communicator who genuinely enjoys helping customers
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident using Microsoft Office, data entry systems and spreadsheets
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
• Previous administration, service advisor or dealership experience will be highly regarded
• Mechanical or agricultural industry knowledge is advantageous
• Trade qualifications are welcomed but not essential
