Job summary

Hutcheon and Pearce, a respected John Deere dealer, is seeking an experienced Service Technician (Heavy Diesel Mechanic) to join the Temora branch. You will perform service, repairs, and diagnostic work on agricultural machinery, both in the workshop and on client sites.

The ideal candidate will have HV Diesel Mechanic or equivalent trade qualifications, a valid driver's license, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications relevant to heavy diesel/mechanical servicing.
• Experience with agricultural machinery and diagnostics preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, repairs and maintenance of agricultural machinery both in workshop and on client farms.
• Diagnose and interpret faults to get customers back running.
• Maintain service records and provide technical guidance to customers and colleagues.

Hutcheon and Pearce are seeking experienced Service Technicians (Heavy Diesel Mechanics) to join our Temora Branch. You will be responsible for providing mechanical services, repairs, pre-delivery, and diagnostic work on customer or dealer-owned agriculture equipment.

The Role:

Working at Hutcheon and Pearce you will find yourself working on a variety of Agricultural Machinery both large and small, with changing seasons bringing different needs in the agricultural space you will often find yourself taking on new challenges and learnings.

• Perform service, repairs and maintenance of all machinery and equipment (both in the workshop and on client farms).
• Diagnose and interpret machine faults to get our customers back up and running.
• Manage and maintain service records for machinery.
• Provide technical advice and support to customers and other service technicians.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Relevant trade qualifications: Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HV Diesel Mechanics), Agricultural Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology, Automotive Manufacturing, Fitter/Turner or other relevant experience and qualifications.
• Current and valid driver’s license
• Organised with great attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
