Job summary

Hutcheon and Pearce Forbes is seeking an Apprentice Parts Interpreter to support our Forbes branch in connecting customers with service technicians for parts needs. The role includes sales, customer service, receiving and delivery of parts, and maintaining merchandise displays while you study for a Certificate III in Automotive Sales through TAFE NSW over two years.

You'll join a team that values initiative, organisation and teamwork, with forklift licence support if needed and staff discounts

• Attention to detail in data entry and stock replenishment tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy parts department.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
• Researches and interprets parts requirements.
• Places machine down and stock orders.
• Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with delivery to proper inventory locations.
• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
• Assists in keeping the parts department clean and orderly.
• Follows up on back orders and shortages, reporting to the manager.
• Maintains current product knowledge.

Job description

As an Apprentice Parts Interpreter at Hutcheon and Pearce, you will hold a central position within our Forbes branch, serving as a vital link between your customers and company service technicians for all their parts needs. Your role will require you to complete a diverse range of tasks, including sales and customer service, receiving and delivery of parts, as well as attachments and merchandise.

With your expertise and dedication, you will ensure that our customers receive the highest level of support and satisfaction, while also facilitating the smooth operation of our service department.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
• Researches and interprets parts requirements.
• Places machine down and stock orders.

• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.

• Maintains current product knowledge.
• Participates in Sales Training programs

As an Apprentice Parts Interpreter, you will undertake a Certificate III in Automotive Sales through TAFE NSW over a two-year period. Your training will include a mix of in-person classes, online learning, and practical workplace experience.
