Job summary

Inland Truck Centres Orange is seeking a Service Advisor to join our frontline service team. You’ll open and close repair orders, enter technician times, process invoices, and submit warranty claims, ensuring smooth workshop workflow.

You’ll work closely with the Service Supervisor and Branch Manager, delivering friendly customer service, accurate administration, and timely updates to customers. Automotive knowledge and strong organisation are essential to succeed in this busy role.

Qualifications

• Strong computer literacy and confidence with new systems.
• Knowledge of automotive service processes or similar administrative experience.
• Good understanding of mechanical or technical terminology (preferred).
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
• Strong communication — verbal and written.
• A customer-first approach with problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service and support.
• Open and close repair orders and enter technician times.
• Prepare and process invoices for internal and external customers.
• Assist Service Supervisor with workshop scheduling.
• Book customer jobs and coordinate customer sign-off for completed work.
• Process, submit, and maintain warranty claims.
• Maintain department files and records.
• Support safe work practices and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
