Impressive is a people-first, tech-powered performance marketing agency helping ambitious brands grow. We’re looking for an SEO/GEO Specialist to join our Organic Search team and develop into a well-rounded search expert across traditional and AI-powered platforms.

This role suits someone with 1-2 years of agency SEO experience who will work with experienced strategists to execute campaigns, lead GEO initiatives, and grow client visibility across search engines and AI-driven experiences.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years SEO experience in an agency setting with solid knowledge of technical SEO and on-page optimisation.
• Strong ability to perform keyword research, content optimisation and link-building activities.
• Familiar with GEO initiatives, AI search platforms and digital PR/outreach campaigns.
• Proficient with SEO tools (Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/SEMrush) and Looker Studio.
• Analytical mindset, strong communication, and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical, on-page and content SEO strategies across clients to improve organic performance.
• Develop and implement GEO strategies across AI-powered search platforms.
• Lead outreach and digital PR for GEO clients to secure citations and backlinks.
• Develop GEO-focused content strategies for traditional and AI-generated answers.
• Conduct keyword research, intent and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Perform technical and GEO audits covering crawlability, indexing, structure, and AI readiness.
• Monitor performance, analyse trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with content, dev and account teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
• Apply best practices like internal linking, schema markup, and AI-friendly information architecture.
• Stay updated on SEO and AI trends and contribute ideas to improve client results.

We're looking for an SEO/GEO Specialist to join our award-winning Organic Search team.

This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of agency SEO experience who wants to develop into a well-rounded search specialist. You'll work alongside experienced strategists to execute SEO campaigns, lead GEO initiatives, and help clients grow their visibility across both traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences.

You'll work across a diverse portfolio of clients while developing expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, digital PR, AI search optimisation and data analysis.

What You'll Do

• Execute technical, on-page and content SEO strategies across a portfolio of clients to improve organic performance.
• Develop and implement GEO strategies that increase client visibility across AI-powered search platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google AI Overviews.
• Lead outreach and digital PR strategies for GEO clients, securing high-quality citations, brand mentions and authoritative backlinks that strengthen AI search visibility.
• Develop GEO-focused content strategies, identifying opportunities to create, optimise and structure content for both traditional search and AI-generated answers.
• Conduct keyword research, search intent analysis and competitor research to uncover new growth opportunities.
• Perform technical SEO and GEO audits, identifying opportunities across crawlability, indexing, entity optimisation, structured data, site architecture and AI readiness.
• Monitor SEO and AI search performance, analyse trends, and provide actionable recommendations through regular reporting.
• Collaborate with content, development and account management teams to deliver integrated SEO and GEO campaigns.
• Implement best practices including internal linking, schema markup, entity optimisation, llms.txt, structured content and AI-friendly information architecture.
• Stay at the forefront of SEO and AI search developments, testing new approaches and contributing ideas that improve client performance and internal processes.

What You'll Bring

• 1-2 years' experience in SEO, ideally within a digital marketing agency.
• A solid understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimisation, keyword research, content optimisation and link building.
• An understanding of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) principles and how AI search platforms retrieve, interpret and cite content.
• Experience or a strong interest in digital PR, outreach and authority building.
• Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or SEMrush, and Looker Studio.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and turn it into actionable insights.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
• A proactive, curious mindset and a genuine passion for search, AI and continuous learning.
