Job summary

Open is seeking a hands-on Senior Workplace Technology Engineer to own the core stack. You will manage Jamf, Google Workspace, Cloudflare Zero Trust, Okta and Freshservice as code, and lead design of AI agents to triage level 1 requests.

This (Sydney-based) role reports to the TechOps Lead and collaborates with DevOps, Security, and Automation & AI teams. You will automate identity and device lifecycles, drive root-cause analysis, and write practical runbooks while evaluating new tools and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems, IT or workplace engineering, including at least 2 years at senior level
• Deep, hands‑on administration of Okta and Google Workspace in a SaaS‑first company
• Strong macOS fleet management experience with Jamf Pro
• Experience with Cloudflare Zero Trust or a comparable ZTNA/SASE platform
• Proven configuration‑as‑code practice: Terraform or similar, Git, code review and CI pipelines
• Scripting in Python, Bash or similar, and comfort with REST APIs and webhooks
• Experience running or redesigning an ITSM tool such as Freshservice, Jira Service Management or ServiceNow

Responsibilities

• Own the workplace stack and manage Jamf, Google Workspace, Cloudflare Zero Trust, Okta and Freshservice as code
• Design and build AI agents to triage and resolve level 1 requests in Freshservice
• Automate identity and device lifecycle across Okta, Google Workspace and Jamf
• Act as escalation point for complex workplace issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Write documentation and runbooks; evaluate tools, vendors and renewals
