Qantas in Mascot is seeking a Senior Claims Officer to lead end-to-end management of a complex NSW workers compensation portfolio. You will assess claims in line with NSW legislation, make liability decisions and guide injury management and return-to-work strategies.

You will influence stakeholders, review case progress, and develop claims-management plans across a centralized national service, ensuring recovery and timely return to work for employees while maintaining confidentiality and high

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing complex NSW workers’ compensation claims.
• Strong knowledge of NSW legislative framework and standards.
• Proven ability to make liability decisions on complex claims.
• Experience developing injury management and return-to-work strategies.
• Understanding of PIAWE calculations and weekly benefits.
• Ability to identify barriers to recovery with person-centred solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management across levels.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with influence.
• Attention to detail and analytical confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and prioritisation in a fast-paced environment.
