Job summary

NSW Government is seeking an experienced Claims Advisor with Workers’ Compensation expertise for a contract role based in NSW. The position offers a work-from-home arrangement with an office in Burwood, and an immediate start through to 20 November 2026 with potential extension opportunities.

Responsibilities include managing claims in line with NSW legislation and providing sound claims advice to support outcomes, while maintaining stakeholder relationships and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing end-to-end Workers’ Compensation claims, ideally within a self-insurance environment.
• Demonstrated Workers’ Compensation and injury management experience in large, complex organisations.

• Provide best practice case management and sound claims advice to support effective outcomes
• Manage stakeholder relationships and deliver high-quality customer service
• Assess, resolve and respond to claims enquiries in a timely manner
• Collaborate within the Injury and Claims Management team to support continuous improvement and efficient claims management

To be successful for this contract, you must have experience with the following:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing end-to-end Workers’ Compensation claims, ideally within a self-insurance environment
• Demonstrated Workers’ Compensation and injury management experience in large, complex organisations
• SIMS experience highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage key stakeholders
