Job summary

Leidos Australia seeks a Senior Windows Engineer to maintain and evolve enterprise Windows Server environments across on-premises and hybrid cloud. You will partner with infrastructure, security, network, architecture and application teams to deliver reliable, secure services and drive automation.

You will mentor engineers, implement patching, hardening, identity controls, and contribute to infrastructure modernization and cloud adoption to reduce complexity and improve service outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Windows Server engineering and enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and authentication services.
• Experience administering enterprise-scale Windows environments, including patching and configuration management.
• Advanced PowerShell automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency.
• Experience with Windows security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and access controls.
• Experience supporting high-availability environments, DR readiness, backups and monitoring.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple technology domains and analytical thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration, optimization and ongoing improvement of enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, network, architecture and apps teams to deliver reliable services.
• Drive infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, automation and technology refresh.
• Implement security controls, patch management and identity/access governance.
• Provide senior technical expertise for incidents, root-cause analysis and complex challenges.
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge across multidisciplinary teams.
