Job summary

Doma Hotels in Barton, Canberra, is seeking a Senior Wedding & Events Executive to lead wedding and event coordination across Hotel Realm, Burbury Hotel & Apartments, and related venues. About the Role

The Senior Wedding & Events Executive is responsible for leading the coordination of all weddings and special events across DOMA Hotels, with a particular focus on Hotel Realm, whilst driving revenue and supporting the team of coordinators for all conferences and events.

In this role your responsibilities will include:

• Manage weddings and special events from initial enquiry through to successful execution across DOMA Hotels

• Fairly allocate conferences and events to yourself and your fellow coordinator each month

• Provide accurate quotations and contracts for all event types, including venue hire, menu packages and accommodation

• Conduct site inspections, showcasing DOMA Hotels’ portfolio to new and existing clients

• Providing an exceptional guest experience at all touch points across the client customer journey

• Maintain accurate client and event records in iVvy, Opera, SevenRooms and other systems

• Prepare weekly conference and event distribution reports and additional reporting as required

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Previous experience in weddings or events coordination/sales within hospitality, events or luxury service industries

• Strong knowledge of event coordination principles, conference and event components

• Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with a wide range of clients and stakeholders

• Well-developed organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

• Excellent time management, with the ability to manage multiple events and tight deadlines

• Experience with IT applications such as Opera, iVvy, OptiSign (Tripleseat desirable)

• Impeccable grooming, presentation, and a polished, welcoming demeanor

• A friendly, outgoing personality and the ability to offer outstanding service

• Weekend and evening availability when required
