Job summary

AECOM is expanding its Water Infrastructure team in Melbourne. You will work on water and wastewater projects, deliver planning solutions, and support a growing portfolio across ANZ.

The role focuses on robust network planning, modelling, and client engagement, with opportunities to mentor staff and contribute to major, long-term projects. Flexible/hybrid arrangements are available in a dynamic, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Demonstrated network planning experience with hydraulic modelling of water/wastewater systems.
• Understanding of current and potential future policy, practice, trends affecting water planning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholders.
• Appreciation of clients in water-related markets and major urban utilities.
• Experience or interest in project management.

Responsibilities

• Proactive delivery of high-quality water network planning solutions emphasizing flexibility, sustainability, optimisation, lifecycle cost, and risk.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior professionals.
• Support business development including client engagement, proposals and bid management.
• Develop standards and guides for technical activities and applications.
