Job summary

The role requires 5+ years of VMware experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a regulated government context.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting enterprise VMware environments.
• Strong experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Experience managing enterprise virtualization platforms and supporting critical infrastructure.
• Experience with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and platform lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of storage, networking, and server infrastructure technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within government, defence, or highly regulated environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and support VMware virtualization environments.
• Administer and support VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Perform infrastructure upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex virtualization and infrastructure issues.
• Maintain high availability, performance, and resilience across VMware environments.
• Work closely with networking, storage, and security teams to support integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Support change management, release activities, and operational maintenance windows.
• Contribute to technical documentation, system designs, and operational procedures.
• Participate in infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project and operational teams.
