Job summary

Orelogy in Perth seeks a Principal Ventilation Consultant to lead a global ventilation practice. You will guide design, governance, and technical assurance for underground mining projects, mentor engineers, and shape safety and efficiency across our international portfolio.

Based in the Perth CBD, you will travel internationally, engage with senior stakeholders, deliver audits, model reviews, and VMPs, and contribute to tender and business development while advancing Orelogy's ventilation

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
10 years' underground ventilation engineering experience.
Experience leading ventilation audits, investigations, compliance reviews, and technical assurance programs.
Strong site-based experience in operational underground mining environments.
First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (FCMM) highly regarded.
Proven ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders.
Strong commercial awareness and consulting experience with practical solutions.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Provide principal-level ventilation engineering support across diverse underground mining operations and projects.
Lead ventilation design, governance, and technical assurance activities for clients and stakeholders.
Conduct and oversee ventilation audits, model reviews, compliance assessments, and performance reviews.
Review, develop, and maintain Ventilation Management Plans (VMPs).
Provide technical leadership for ventilation system design, fan selection, airflow optimisation, and planning.
Mentor, coach, and develop ventilation engineers and consultants.
Contribute to tender submissions, technical due diligence, and risk assessments for new opportunities.
Support clients with industry-leading ventilation practices and improvements.
