Job summary

The University of Western Australia is seeking an experienced plumbing supervisor to maintain and improve plumbing infrastructure across the campus. You will lead preventative and reactive maintenance, supervise external contractors and provide technical guidance to a diverse set of stakeholders.

Applicants should hold a plumbing trade qualification with a current Plumbing licence and a Gas licence (Type G).

Qualifications

• Trade or technical plumbing qualifications with a Plumbing licence and Gas licence type ‘G’.
• Substantial experience in preventative and reactive plumbing maintenance, repairs and minor projects in a complex environment.
• High-level supervisory experience coordinating contractors and providing guidance within a trades environment.
• Knowledge of current plumbing regulations and best practices.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills with stakeholder relationship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical advice on design, construction, testing and maintenance of plumbing infrastructure.
• Lead investigations, fault finding, repairs and minor project works; coordinate external plumbers and service providers.
• Contribute to maintenance strategies, asset condition assessments and continuous improvement.
