Job summary
Suncorp Group is seeking an experienced professional to design and implement underwriting rules using automation and data connectivity. You will collaborate across underwriting, governance, data, and technology to improve risk assessment and decision-making.
In this role, you will explore new data sources, lead proofs of concept, and drive scalable automation while supporting a connected, data-driven underwriting environment. Hybrid work options are available.
Qualifications
- Five+ years in general insurance, financial services, or tech delivery.
- Experience with system configuration and data automation.
- Understanding of underwriting platforms, rules and integrations.
- Experience evaluating external data sources and automation tech.
- Ability to translate business needs into tech/data solutions.
- Clear communication across multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimise automated underwriting rules and controls.
- Evaluate external data sources and technology solutions for risk assessment.
- Lead proofs of concept, pilots and business cases for automation/AI.
- Partner with tech, data and business teams to deliver API integrations.
- Translate underwriting needs into practical platform enhancements and rules.
- Shape data and automation roadmap to support portfolio priorities.
