Job summary

AndersElite Professional Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Underground Geologist to lead geological investigations and interpretations in an underground hard rock mining operation. The role is full-time and FIFO from Perth on an 8+6 roster, with responsibilities spanning from field mapping to resource estimation and safety compliance.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with operations, and develop 3D geological models and databases to optimise ore recovery and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in underground hard rock mining geology.
• Progression to senior level demonstrated.
• Strong mapping, structural geology and orebody interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct underground geological mapping, sampling and data collection for mine planning.
• Interpret geotechnical and geological data to assess rock mass and orebody geometry.
• Provide expert geological input to mine design, sequencing and resource estimation.
• Coordinate with exploration, planning and production teams to integrate geological data.
• Conduct field inspections and underground visits to validate models.
• Develop and maintain geological databases and 3D models.
• Identify opportunities for improved understanding and targeted drilling.
• mentor junior geological staff and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to resource/reserve statements and feasibility studies.
