Job summary

Westgold Resources is seeking a Mine Geologist to support underground operations on a FIFO 8/6 roster. You will log diamond drill cores, map faces, interpret geology for ore drives, and manage drilling programs while ensuring data integrity and safety.

Relaxed into a broader team with Leapfrog/Surpac modelling, you will mentor graduates and contribute to accurate geological reporting and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Relevant geology degree and underground experience required.
• Experience with drill core logging, mapping, and grade control.
• Proficiency in Leapfrog and Surpac for geological modelling.

Responsibilities

• Diamond drill core logging, face mapping, and sampling.
• Geological interpretation and direction for ore drive development.
• Manage and track underground diamond drilling programs.
• Data validation, grade control, and geological reporting.
• Stope and development reconciliations and modelling support.
• Mentor Graduate and Junior Geologists and promote safety culture.
