Job summary

The Aquarium is seeking a Senior Transitions Manager in Sydney to lead client restructures, closures and onboarding for new business, with oversight of cross-functional delivery across middle office, fund accounting and risk. The role emphasizes end-to-end project leadership and offshore mentoring.

You will coordinate with custodians, investment managers and trustees to ensure compliant asset transfers, monitor settlements and actions, and drive continuous improvement of the transition

Qualifications

• Around 10+ years in financial services, with knowledge of fund accounting, unit pricing, investment administration, custody operations and investment product structures.
• 5+ years in a direct transition management or similar role, with a proven track record.
• Strong end-to-end project and implementation management, with sound analytical ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the negotiation skills to resolve conflicts with senior stakeholders.
• Resilience and the ability to juggle multiple transitions under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of client transitions, onboarding and restructures.
• Coordinate internal teams and external parties to ensure smooth asset transfers.
• Track settlements, corporate actions and income monitoring against deadlines; escalate delays.
• Mentor junior team members locally and offshore and help improve the transition framework.
