Job summary

The Aquarium in Sydney is seeking a Senior Transitions Manager to lead complex client restructures, closures and onboarding for new business. You will coordinate internal teams and external parties, ensuring timely, compliant asset transfers while mentoring junior staff.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in financial services, 5+ years in transition management, and strong project leadership with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.

Qualifications

• Around 10+ years in financial services, with knowledge of fund accounting, unit pricing, investment administration, custody operations and investment product structures.
• 5+ years in a direct transition management or similar role, with a proven track record.
• Strong end-to-end project and implementation management, with sound analytical ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the negotiation skills to resolve conflicts with senior stakeholders.
• Resilience and the ability to juggle multiple transitions under tight deadlines.
• Experience with MS Project and the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of client transitions from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate internal teams and external parties to deliver smooth asset transfers.
• Track settlements, corporate actions and income monitoring against deadlines, escalating delays early.
• Mentor junior team members locally and offshore and improve the transition framework.
