Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is expanding its Restructuring presence in Australia and seeks experienced professionals for the Sydney team. You will lead restructuring, turnaround and insolvency engagements, advising on cash flow, liquidity and capital structure across industries.

You will work with management, lenders and creditors to stabilise businesses, prepare financial models and materials for clients, and contribute to formal appointments where relevant.

Qualifications

• Experience in informal restructuring and turnaround engagements across multiple sectors.
• Strong skills in cash flow, liquidity and working capital analysis.
• Ability to prepare financial models and stakeholder materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to present complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead restructuring, turnaround and insolvency engagements across various sectors.
• Analyse cash flow, liquidity, working capital and financial performance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare financial models, trading forecasts and stakeholder materials to support client recommendations.
• Collaborate with management, lenders and creditors to stabilise businesses and deliver practical outcomes.
• Contribute to formal appointments, including voluntary administrations, receiverships and liquidations, where relevant.
• Manage workstreams, deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced, outcomes-focused environment.
• Coach and develop junior team members according to experience level.
