Job summary

Start Training is seeking an experienced Training Manager to oversee the quality and consistency of training and assessment across our five Melbourne centres.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead Trainer Team Leaders and Trainers, observe practice, coach staff, manage risk, and ensure issues are resolved with verified action.

This role is hands-on, not desk-only, requires travel between sites and a commitment to safety and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in vocational education and training.
• Strong knowledge of competency-based training and assessment.
• Understanding of Standards for RTOs and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to monitor and improve training quality.
• Experience leading Trainer Teams and processing performance concerns.

Responsibilities

• Lead Trainer Team Leaders and Trainers across Melbourne locations.
• Implement a risk-based oversight program with live observations.
• Coach staff and address training, safety and student outcomes.
• Oversee induction, performance and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Sales to improve processes.
• Travel between five sites as required.
