Job summary

John Holland is seeking a Training & Development Manager to lead workforce capability, compliance and talent development across the T2D project in Adelaide. You will head a dedicated training team, partner with senior leaders, and shape workforce strategies to keep people skilled, compliant, engaged and ready to deliver.

As a Senior Leader, you will drive professional development, technical training, competency assurance, apprenticeships and workforce readiness, while ensuring mobilisation

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading learning and development within a complex operational environment.
• Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of training compliance, mobilisation requirements, qualifications management and competency frameworks.
• Experience working with apprenticeships, traineeships and workforce development programs.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
• Track record of driving innovation, continuous improvement and measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project's learning, workforce capability and compliance strategy.
• Manage and develop a high-performing Training and Development team.
• Ensure training and competency systems meet legislative, contractual and operational requirements.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify capability needs and deliver workforce solutions.
• Drive apprenticeship, traineeship and career development programs to strengthen future talent pipelines.
• Identify and implement innovative learning solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders on workforce capability, competency and training risks.
