Job summary

GenusPlus Group is seeking a Senior Training Advisor to lead the project’s training, workforce development and capability functions, ensuring personnel possess the qualifications and skills to safely deliver outcomes.

You will oversee induction, training strategy, governance, provider management and stakeholder engagement, with exposure to major infrastructure and renewable energy projects. Melbourne-based with deployment to site later in 2026.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in training and learning & development.
• Experience managing training programs and workforce development.
• Experience with LMS and competency management systems.
• Experience developing cadetship, traineeship or apprenticeship programs.
• Experience managing training providers and RTO relationships.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience managing direct reports and development initiatives.
• Strong reporting, planning and analytical skills.
• Experience in major infrastructure, utilities, energy, construction or transport projects.
• Qualification in Learning & Development, HR, Business or Education.

Responsibilities

• The Training Strategy, Governance and Compliance function alignment with PSDR, VESI and obligations.
• Develop and maintain Training Plans, Matrix and annual project plans.
• Monitor training effectiveness and compliance across projects.
• Manage budgets, forecasting and resources for training.
• Drive improvements in training systems, processes and reporting.
• Design workforce development initiatives including cadet/trainee programs.
• Support leadership capability development and succession planning.
• Monitor trainee performance, progression and retention.
• Establish relationships with RTOs and universities for capability outcomes.
• Oversee induction framework and ensure compliant onboarding.
