Job summary

City of Sydney is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to lead investigations and provide technical assessments within the Traffic Operations team. The role supports decisions on traffic and parking issues, requiring strong regulatory understanding and stakeholder negotiation.

Qualifications

Must have tertiary qualifications in traffic engineering or transport planning or related field.
Extensive work experience in traffic engineering, transport planning, project management and/or road safety, preferably in Local or State Government.
Demonstrated ability to understand regulations, policies, guidelines, technical directions and procedures.
Able to resolve complex traffic and transport related problems, negotiate viable options with key stakeholders and with management approval, implement preferred solutions.

Responsibilities

Conduct investigations and technical assessments for traffic and parking issues.
