Job summary

Hamilton Island Enterprises on Hamilton Island, QLD, seeks a Senior Systems Support Specialist to provide advanced Level 2 and Level 3 support across hardware, software and business applications. You will be the escalation point for complex IT issues and mentor junior staff, contributing to major IT projects.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows environments (essential).
• Current Queensland Driver Licence (essential).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and network connectivity.
• Ability to guide and mentor colleagues in delivering technical solutions.
• Flexibility to undertake occasional work outside standard business hours and participate in the on-call roster.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Level 2 and Level 3 support, resolving escalated issues across hardware, software and business applications.
• Support Microsoft Office, Windows servers and desktops, Active Directory and Citrix environments.
• Troubleshoot resort applications, including SMS/Host, Infogenesis POS, TechnologyOne, Delphi.fdc and SpaSoft.
• Assist with the administration and maintenance of network infrastructure, printers, CCTV and IP-TV systems.
• Deliver complex technical change requests and contribute to formal IT projects.
• Mentor junior IT team members and provide technical guidance during major works.
• Work with stakeholders across the business to understand their requirements and support needs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides and accurate helpdesk records.
• Support critical incidents, outages and preventative maintenance activities.
• Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call roster, including weekends.

Senior Systems Support Specialist - Hamilton Island

Hamilton Island is seeking a Senior Systems Support Specialist to provide advanced technical support across the diverse systems that keep our island operating.

Based on Hamilton Island, you’ll be a key escalation point for complex IT issues, support business critical applications and infrastructure, and contribute to technical projects. Reporting to the IT Support Supervisor, you’ll also share your knowledge and mentor junior team members.

What we’re looking for

You’re an experienced IT support professional who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering great customer service. Self-sufficient and organised, you can manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure. You communicate confidently with people at all levels, enjoy sharing your technical knowledge and work well within a small team.

To be successful, you’ll need:
