Job summary

Lockheed Martin Australia is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to complex Defence programs in a System-of-Systems environment. You will lead requirements analysis, architecture development and MBSE activities, collaborating with customers, SMEs and engineering teams to mature system solutions within an Agile delivery model.

The role demands strong system design skills, experience with MBSE tools (MagicDraw, Cameo, Rhapsody) and the ability to work in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive Systems Engineering experience delivering large, complex systems in Defence or regulated environments.
• Strong requirements analysis, system design and architecture capabilities.
• Experience with MBSE tools and model-based engineering principles.
• Experience in Agile environments with ownership of complex activities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with C4ISREW, DOORS/DNG, or similar tools preferred.
• NV1 security clearance and ability to handle export-controlled information.
• Proficiency in AI prompting for technical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead system and subsystem requirements analysis and interface definition.
• Develop system architectures and design documentation including trade studies.
• Evaluate design options and perform technical trade-offs.
• Own work packages and support engineering reviews and customer discussions.
• Collaborate with SMEs and partners to mature system solutions.
• Provide leadership for Agile delivery and technical planning.
