Job summary

Lockheed Martin Australia is expanding its Systems Engineering capability and is seeking Systems Engineers at intermediate and senior levels to support a diverse portfolio of Defence and national security programs. You'll work on complex, mission-critical systems across requirements management, architecture, integration, verification & validation, and specialty engineering.

This role suits engineers with a few years of experience looking to advance, or seasoned professionals seeking exposure

Qualifications

• Experience across one or more systems engineering disciplines (requirements management, architecture, integration, or V&V).
• Experience working on complex defence projects and technology programs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• An Engineering degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Exposure to MBSE, Agile development, Defence capability domains or test automation approaches highly regarded.
• NV1 security clearance is required.
• Proficiency in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Responsibilities

• Working across a wide variety of projects across the defence domain. Opportunities to pick a particular area of focus, or gain a diverse range of experiences and skills.
• Contributing to systems engineering activities across the lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, integration, verification and validation
• Developing technical artefacts such as requirements, interface definitions, design documentation, engineering assessments and trade studies
• Supporting multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex engineering outcomes across a range of Defence and technology programs
• Collaborating with stakeholders, subject matter experts and project teams to solve technical challenges and support delivery objectives
• Applying systems engineering principles, processes and tools to support project execution and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contributing to capability development activities including engineering governance, reviews, bids and technical innovation
