L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Specialist, Systems Administrator to support our Australia-based Managed Services program.

You will be a key member of the production team managing data centre administration, capacity resources, and OS/infrastructure level deployments. This role focuses on uptime, performance tuning, and integration of new services to enhance customer operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in computer engineering, CS, IT security or related field.
• Ability to obtain Australian Defence security clearance to Baseline and likely NV1.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel within Australia to support customer and partner coordination.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain enterprise Data Centre environments (Cisco UCS, NetApp AFF/FAS) or VMware vSAN/Cohesity backups.
• 4–6 years in Red Hat Linux Administration and 4–6 years in Windows Administration.
• Configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware and other virtualization technologies at multiple locations.
• Perform system patching and upgrades to maintain security and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate requirements into final designs.
• Manage enterprise identity tools (LDAP, IPA, Active Directory).
• Lead field changes to production systems to a schedule and support on‑call rotations.
• This role is performed 100% onsite.
