Job summary

• Experience managing schedules, scope, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, change controls and governance reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex matters to technical and non-technical audiences; familiarity with change, release, incident and problem management.
• Ability to hold NV1 clearance is required before starting role

Who we are looking for

You are an experienced delivery lead with a strong background in complex gateway and network security infrastructure projects. You can translate business and operational needs into practical delivery plans, guide multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels. You are comfortable working in secure ICT environments and managing formal governance and change processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead complex gateway and network security infrastructure projects from initiation and planning through implementation, transition and closure.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, clarify responsibilities and priorities, and maintain momentum across business, technical and operational stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain delivery plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies and resource forecasts, providing clear and accurate status reporting.

• Manage scope, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions and change controls; identify emerging concerns early and recommend practical responses.

• Analyse systems, interfaces and operational impacts to shape implementation approaches, then coordinate production readiness, support handover and knowledge transfer. Support incident and problem investigations, recovery actions and post-incident improvements, while maintaining governance documentation and escalating decisions as needed.

Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years’ demonstrated experience leading complex gateway and network security infrastructure projects in a large organisation, preferably a government department.

• Strong systems analysis capability, including assessing technology services, dependencies, interfaces, operational impacts and implementation options.

• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate delivery across business, technical and operational stakeholders.

• Experience managing schedules, scope, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, change controls and governance reporting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing project documentation and talking points and explaining complex matters to technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working in secure ICT environments and with formal change, release, incident and problem management processes is required. Relevant project delivery, Agile, ITIL or systems analysis qualifications or certifications are desirable.

• Ability to hold NV1 clearance is required before starting role
